On October 24, 2025 (local time), as Zambia celebrated its 61st Independence Day, Mumbwa Independence Square was bustling with crowds. Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sinomine Kitumba") was invited to attend the celebration and organized a contingent to participate in the parade.
The celebration themed "61 Years of Peace and Unity: Building a Resilient and Prosperous Zambia". In the parade, the contingent of Sinomine Kitumba employees marched in neat formation with loud and clear slogans, striding proudly past the rostrum, earning warm applause from the on-site audience.
During the speech session, HON. MWABASHIKE NKULUKUSA, Governor of Central Province, emphasized Mumbwa's strategic position in the national economic transformation in his keynote speech, clearly stating that major investments like Sinomine Kitumba are the "powerful engine" for regional development.
Hon. Credo Nanjuwa, Governor of Southern Province and Member of Parliament for Mumbwa Central Constituency, hailed Sinomine Kitumba as an "outstanding model of enterprises" in his speech. He specifically cited the company's remarkable contributions, including an investment of approximately 600 million US dollars, creating a large number of local jobs, and renovating the Mumbwa-Kasenpa Highway. The public praise from senior government officials is a high recognition of Sinomine Kitumba's philosophy of "investing in one place, building one place, and benefiting one place".
On the evening, Chinese and Zambian employees of Sinomine Kitumba held a barbecue party at the mine camp to celebrate Independence Day, with laughter lighting up the night sky. Everyone temporarily put aside their busy work during the day, reviewed the project's struggle process together, and talked about the grand blueprint. The management team of Sinomine Kitumba also took this opportunity to extend holiday greetings, thanking them for their perseverance and dedication in working side by side and overcoming challenges.
