On November 3, 2025 (local time), Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Kitumba Company") achieved another milestone in its social responsibility efforts – the official handover of the donated community trade market, wells, and public sanitation facilities in Kaindu.

The handover ceremony was grandly held in the local community, gathering Zambian local government officials, community leaders, and hundreds of residents to witness this important moment that benefits people's livelihood. As a key initiative of Sinomine Resource to practice the development philosophy of "Rooted in Zambia, Benefiting Zambia," the delivered infrastructure will effectively improve local residents' living and trading conditions, marking another fruitful achievement of the company's localized development and social responsibility fulfillment.
"We Mine Minerals, but More Importantly, Invest in People"
At the ceremony, Mr. Mwiinga Chifwepa, Zambian representative of Kitumba Company, elaborated on the company's core development philosophy: "Mining is never just about extracting minerals from the ground; it is more about investing in the people on this land."
He noted that the donated market sheds, wells, and public sanitation facilities are targeted responses to the community's most pressing needs, following thorough assessments and research. Prior to this, the company's ongoing restoration of the D181 Highway has addressed the long-standing traffic challenges in the area. These initiatives stand as strong evidence of Sinomine Resource translating its commitment as a "responsible developer" into tangible actions. Mr. Mwiinga Chifwepa reaffirmed that the company will deepen cooperation with the community in education, health, and environmental protection in the future, striving to be a long-term and reliable partner for the community.

"A Model Worth Emulating"
Kitumba Company's practical contributions have won unanimous praise from the government to traditional tribes.

In his keynote speech, Mr. Charlie Masumo, Chairman of the Mumbwa Municipal Council, hailed the new market as "a platform for economic activities, a space for dignified trade, and a beacon of development." He emphasized that this project is a lasting symbol of sincere cooperation between enterprises and local governments, which will effectively stimulate community economic vitality.
Mr. Aaron Mufune, Representative of the District Commissioner and Labor Officer, stated that these infrastructure facilities will effectively "improve living standards, stimulate local trade, and enhance public health." He expressed sincere gratitude to Kitumba Company for its proactive and visionary corporate social responsibility.
Chief Ingwe, representing Chief Kaindu, was particularly excited, noting that these facilities are "a testament to the company's commitment to the well-being of our people," providing the community with a safe trading environment and precious clean drinking water. He praised Kitumba Company for setting an example of responsible mining and called on other companies to "emulate this model."

Aligning with Zambia’s National Development Goals
This donation project not only directly creates employment opportunities but also closely aligns with the economic empowerment and rural development initiatives advocated by Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema, generating positive resonance.
From restoring the D181 Highway to unblock economic arteries, to building market complexes to empower community commerce, Kitumba Company has always been rooted in the local area and pursued pragmatic development. It has gradually integrated its corporate development blueprint with Zambia's local economic and social development strategies, creating a future of mutual prosperity through concrete actions!
