Recently, Wang Pingwei, Chairman and President of Sinomine Resource Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomine Resource”), visited Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bikita") in Zimbabwe to conduct an on-site review of mine production and operations and to attend the company’s annual recognition ceremony.
During the visit, Chairman Wang listened carefully to operational briefings and affirmed the phased achievements Bikita has made in resource integration, production organization, safety management, and localized operations. He noted that Bikita is a key pillar in Sinomine Resource’s global lithium resource strategy and emphasized the need to fully leverage the Group’s platform advantages. He called for coordinated allocation of resources and technical capabilities, and for advancing feasibility studies and preparatory work for new projects with high standards and a forward-looking approach, laying a solid foundation for smooth project implementation.
Chairman Wang also stressed the importance of strictly upholding the bottom lines of production safety and environmental protection, benchmarking against international best practices, and promoting high-quality, sustainable mine development.
During the inspection, Chairman Wang and his delegation visited key operational areas, including mining faces, the flotation plant, cesium processing plant, optical sorting plant, gravity separation plant, the 132kV substation, photovoltaic power generation facilities, and water source areas. They reviewed production processes, equipment operation, energy supply systems, and the performance of environmental protection facilities, and provided guidance on mine production organization, improving processing efficiency, and optimizing the energy mix.
Following the site visit, Chairman Wang attended Bikita’s annual summary and recognition ceremony, where he joined the management team and employees in reviewing past achievements and looking ahead. He spoke highly of the company’s performance under complex overseas operating conditions and expressed sincere appreciation for the dedication and hard work of all employees.
He encouraged the entire Bikita team to remain confident in future development, continue strengthening safety and environmental foundations, and further enhance operational efficiency and project management capabilities, providing strong resource support for the extension and development of the Group’s new energy materials value chain.
At the ceremony, Gong Xuedong, Assistant to the President of Sinomine Resource and General Manager of Bikita, delivered the annual work summary. Employee representatives Victor Simango and Edith Makaza also shared their experiences of growing alongside the company and expressed confidence and expectations for its future development.
The ceremony honored long-serving employees and outstanding performers of the year, with award presentations and a lucky draw adding to the celebratory atmosphere. The event highlighted Bikita’s spirit of unity, dedication, and positive momentum.
In closing, Experience Kagodi, Mine Manager of Bikita, thanked Group leadership for their guidance and support. He called on all employees to take the annual recognition ceremony as an opportunity to further align thinking, build consensus, and drive high-quality development with a more pragmatic approach and renewed enthusiasm.
