On December 6, 2025, the 10th Marozva Chief’s Cup Sports Championship, organized by Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bikita"), a subsidiary of Sinomine Resource Group, successfully concluded. This annual community sports event, now in its tenth year, was held under the theme “Uniting Communities, Empowering Youth”. and drew the participation of more than 500 local residents. It has become a vivid example of how government, enterprises, and communities can work together to promote grassroots development.
This year’s competition featured two main events — football and netball. Twelve football teams from Bikita’s western region took part, including ten from the Marozva chieftaincy and two from Mukanganwi. Players showcased teamwork, determination, and fair play throughout the matches. The netball tournament brought together four teams in a series of exciting and spirited contests, highlighting the vibrant sports culture of the community.
To ensure the tournament’s success, Bikita provided full sponsorship, including team kits, prize money, trophies, and catering services for all participants. As an important platform for fulfilling corporate social responsibility, the tournament aims to promote the spirit of perseverance and guide young people away from drug and substance abuse, encouraging them to pursue a healthy and positive lifestyle.

Sinomine Resource Group officially took over as the main sponsor in 2022, continuously investing resources to ensure the event’s long-term sustainability. Over the years, the tournament has provided young people with opportunities to showcase their talents while fostering mutual understanding and trust among residents from different areas.
On the day of the finals, traditional leaders, youth groups, and sports enthusiasts gathered to cheer for the teams, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
