To strengthen care for overseas employees, further enhance team cohesion, and promote cultural exchange and integration between Chinese and Zimbabwean staff, Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bikita Minerals”) recently organized a series of themed team-building activities for more than 90 Chinese and Zimbabwean employees at its mine site, with participants divided into two groups. The event was held to thank employees for their long-standing dedication and hard work, while giving them an opportunity to relax and strengthen relationships outside their busy production schedules.
The team first visited the Great Zimbabwe ruins, stopping along the way at Kyle Dam to take commemorative photos. At this historic site, which embodies Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage, employees explored the remains of an ancient civilization and experienced firsthand the country’s profound history and distinctive cultural appeal. The visit broadened their horizons and deepened their understanding of local history and culture.
The group then proceeded to Hippo Creek Resort for leisure activities. Employees were free to choose from a range of options based on their personal interests, including boat rides, quad biking, target shooting, a 150-meter zipline, and relaxing walks around the lake. Some enjoyed peaceful moments boating together, while others embraced the excitement of high-speed activities to unwind. Still others took leisurely walks along the lakeshore to relax and recharge. In the evening, the company hosted a barbecue dinner. Against a backdrop of beautiful sunset colors, employees gathered to share conversations and enjoy a warm, convivial atmosphere.
For many Zimbabwean employees, the event was more than an opportunity to relax and build team spirit. It also offered a chance to connect with their country’s history and gain a deeper understanding of their colleagues, while experiencing firsthand Bikita Minerals’ recognition of and care for its local workforce.
The event provided a welcome break from production work and served as a vivid demonstration of Bikita Minerals’ people-oriented management philosophy and commitment to cross-cultural integration. The relaxed atmosphere helped bring employees closer together, strengthening their sense of belonging and team cohesion. Participants expressed their intention to bring renewed enthusiasm to their future work and continue moving forward hand in hand with Bikita Minerals toward shared growth and development.
