Bikita, Zimbabwe — 22 June 2026 — Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bikita Mining”) has completed the second-semester donation of its School Nutrition Program, distributing 14 metric tons of fortified grain flour to 17 primary schools surrounding its mining concession. The delivery marks the latest chapter in a four-year initiative that has more than doubled in reach — from 5,000 students at launch to nearly 10,000 today — quietly anchoring a generation's access to education in Zimbabwe's mining heartland.

Launched in 2022, the program has scaled steadily over four years, with this semester's contribution underscoring the company's continuing focus on vulnerable communities adjacent to its operations. The contribution follows the first-semester donation earlier in 2026 as part of the company's annual cycle of school support, and reflects a long-standing partnership built not on grand gestures but on the steady, repeated act of showing up.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Brighton Mushekwa, Member of Parliament for the 12th Constituency, said: "Balanced, adequate nutrition is the foundation on which young people can pursue their education with confidence. For years, Bikita Minerals has been a reliable, sustained presence in our schools — easing the chronic food insecurity faced by rural children. This is practical, long-term thinking about our next generation, and the community holds this commitment close."

The school nutrition program is one pillar of a broader community-development framework that spans education, public health, infrastructure, and environmental stewardship. Across these four pillars, Bikita Minerals has implemented more than 8,700 community-support projects to date — from road rehabilitation and medical-expense advances to drinking-water upgrades — steadily reshaping daily life for residents across the mining area.

A spokesperson for Bikita Minerals said the school nutrition program has been incorporated into the company's long-term sustainability strategy. Going forward, the company will continue to expand the program's coverage, refine its philanthropic portfolio in health, education, and infrastructure, and build a stable, lasting mechanism for community care — walking alongside local communities in building a stable, prosperous, and livable home for all.
