Recently, Wang Pingwei, Chairman and President of Sinomine Resource Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomine”), visited Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Bikita Mining”) for an on-site inspection. During the visit, he reviewed mine operations, outlined priorities for project development, and met with frontline employees.
Chairman Wang and his delegation visited key operational areas, including mining faces, the flotation plant, cesium processing plant, optical sorting plant, and gravity separation plant. They reviewed production and operating conditions, safety and environmental protection facilities, and areas for further improvement. Chairman Wang also provided specific guidance on each stage of operations.
At a subsequent employee meeting, Chairman Wang heard reports on safety and environmental management, production ramp-up, technical upgrades, equipment maintenance, project development, and production planning. He recognized the progress made by Bikita Mining to date.
He noted that, amid fluctuations in the lithium battery and new energy market and changes in government policies, Bikita Mining must remain alert, strengthen communication and response mechanisms, and advance new projects in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Chairman Wang emphasized that production safety is the lifeline of the Company’s development and must never be taken lightly. He called for continued efforts to strengthen employees’ safety awareness and greater investment in social responsibility initiatives to bring more tangible benefits to local communities.
Regarding future production and development, Chairman Wang outlined four priorities:
Accelerate the lithium salt plant project in response to the expectations of the Zimbabwean government and the market.
Continue expanding nearby mining rights to build a stronger resource base for long-term development.
Deepen engagement with the local government and communities, while coordinating environmental protection and social responsibility initiatives.
Maintain strict safety standards to ensure stable and well-controlled operations.
The visit further clarified Bikita Mining’s development direction and near-term objectives. The Company will continue to pursue high standards, sustainable development, and community benefits, with the goal of building Bikita Mining into a model project for China–Africa mining cooperation.
