Recently, the Jiangxi Provincial Technology Innovation Center for Rare Metal Metallurgy and Materials (hereinafter referred to as the “Innovation Center”), led by Sinomine Resource (Jiangxi) Lithium Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomine Lithium”), was officially approved for establishment by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology.

The approval marks a major breakthrough in Sinomine Lithium’s development of high-level research and innovation platforms and represents authoritative recognition of the Company’s core R&D capabilities and industry leadership.
Led by Sinomine Lithium as the principal industrial partner, the Innovation Center will work with Central South University, which will provide advanced technical support. The Center will focus on strategic rare metals including lithium, rubidium, cesium, tantalum, niobium, gallium, and germanium, covering the full value chain from exploration and mineral processing to metallurgy and advanced materials.
Its research priorities will include the efficient separation of complex mineral resources, mineral phase transformation and enhanced extraction, deep separation of chemically similar elements, preparation of high-purity materials, and integrated technologies across the value chain. The Center will also promote the commercialization and industrial application of research outcomes, support coordinated development across upstream and downstream industries, and advance the integrated goals of building an innovation platform, overcoming key technical challenges, and supporting industrial growth.

Sinomine Lithium has long placed technological innovation at the center of its development strategy. The Company has established a mechanism for sustained growth in R&D investment, continued to improve its research system, attracted high-level professionals, and achieved a strong portfolio of scientific and technological results.
The approval of the provincial technology innovation center marks another important milestone in the Company’s continued development in the new energy sector. Taking the establishment of the Innovation Center as a new starting point, Sinomine Lithium will promote its operation to high standards, strengthen resource integration and collaborative research, and fully leverage its role as a leading enterprise together with the advantages of industry–university–research cooperation.
The Company aims to build the Center into a leading regional and industry-level innovation hub, contributing to the security of China’s rare metal value chains and supporting the achievement of the country’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
