Mao Fulong expressed sincere appreciation for the delegation’s visit and for the police’s support in enhancing site security. He noted that the large-scale investment in the Kitumba project has been made possible by Zambia’s open and business-friendly environment and strong government support. The project is committed to building a modern mine characterized by advanced technology and environmental responsibility, with ESG principles embedded throughout operations.

He further emphasized that, while contributing to tax revenues, the company will continue to give back to local communities by supporting the development of clinics, schools, and other public infrastructure, as well as assisting in the construction of a local police station. These efforts aim to contribute to Zambia’s national goal of achieving annual copper production of 3 million tonnes, and to demonstrate the company’s commitment to shared development.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to further strengthen regular communication and coordination mechanisms. They will deepen cooperation in areas such as joint security management in the mining area, coordinated emergency response, and police–enterprise joint patrols, providing strong support for both project construction and harmonious community development.
