To further expand the coverage of its school nutrition program in the Bikita region and continue delivering on its commitment to supporting education and local communities, Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Bikita Mining") distributed more than 14,000 kilograms of nutritional supplements to 16 local primary schools during the first school term of 2026. Nearly 10,000 students benefited from the program, marking a significant milestone since its launch in 2022.

As a company deeply rooted in the local community, Bikita has consistently upheld its commitment to ensuring that “no child studies on an empty stomach.” The program continues to provide nutritional support to primary school students, helping improve their daily diet and learning conditions.

This term, the program expanded for the first time to include Chikukutu Primary School and Dungu Primary School, bringing the total number of participating schools to 16. The number of beneficiaries has grown from approximately 5,000 students at inception to nearly 10,000, significantly broadening both the reach and impact of the initiative.
The continued implementation of the school nutrition program has received high praise from the Zimbabwean government, schools, and local communities. Torerayi Moyo, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, commented:
“Bikita Mining has demonstrated the true responsibility of a corporate citizen through concrete actions. We hope more companies will follow this example and work together with the government to safeguard the future of our children.”

Teachers and school administrators from participating schools have also reported positive outcomes. Many noted that the stable and consistent supply of nutritional support has led to tangible improvements:
“Student attendance has increased significantly, while classroom focus, participation, and overall well-being have all improved. Children are now able to engage in learning with greater energy and enthusiasm.”
Brighton Mushekwi, Member of Parliament for Bikita Constituency 12, welcomed the inclusion of two additional schools in his constituency, stating that the program’s impact is evident and expressing hope that it will continue to expand to benefit more children.

The expansion of the school nutrition program represents another concrete example of Bikita’s commitment to social responsibility and community development. Supporting education and giving back to the community remain key priorities for the company.
Looking ahead, Bikita Mining will continue to strengthen and expand the program, ensuring stable supply of nutritional support in future school terms while exploring ways to further optimize delivery mechanisms. The goal is to provide more targeted and effective nutritional assistance to a greater number of students, contributing to the long-term development of local education.
At the same time, the company will continue to increase investment in education and community initiatives, ensuring that the benefits of its development are shared more broadly and contribute to sustainable local growth.
