On September 19, 2026, local time, Sinomine Resource’s South-Central Africa Regional Operations Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Regional Operations Center”) was officially inaugurated in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia. Wang Pingwei, Chairman and President of Sinomine Resource Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomine Resource”), attended the ceremony. The inauguration marks a key step forward in Sinomine Resource’s efforts to deepen localized operations in Africa and establish a new model of coordinated regional development.

In his opening remarks, Lou Yonggang, General Manager of Sinomine Tsumeb Mining Holding (Proprietary) Limited, noted that as the Group continues to expand its business footprint across Africa, establishing a regional coordination platform has become an urgent priority. The Regional Operations Center has been established at an opportune time and will provide strong momentum for the high-quality development of projects across the region.
Wang Zhiwei, General Manager of the Regional Operations Center, said that the Center would adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and focus on four key functions: regional coordination, business synergy, frontline support, and joint development for shared success. It aims to build a strong team that earns the Group’s trust and serves as a reliable source of support for its projects.

Wang Pingwei, Chairman and President, Ou Xuegang, Director, and other Group executives then took the stage to jointly cut the ribbon, marking the official launch of the Regional Operations Center.

As the first major initiative to put the Center’s functions of “empowering operations through services and deepening collaboration” into practice, the ceremony also featured the signing of strategic cooperation agreements with its first group of supporting enterprises. Wang Zhiwei signed strategic cooperation agreements on behalf of the Regional Operations Center with five service providers. By building a cluster of upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, Sinomine Resource is accelerating the development of an industrial ecosystem characterized by resource sharing and complementary strengths. This marks the launch of a coordinated and systematic regional approach to the Group’s business operations in Africa.

During the unveiling ceremony, Wang Pingwei and Director Ou Xuegang jointly unveiled the Regional Operations Center. In his concluding remarks, Wang Pingwei emphasized that establishing the Center was an important measure in deepening Sinomine Resource’s strategic presence in Africa. The Center will serve as the Group’s “forward base, management platform, and coordination hub” on the continent.
He called on the Center to drive efficient operations through strategic guidance and full value-chain coordination; underpin stable development with responsible operations and environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices; and achieve shared prosperity by deeply integrating into local communities through the localization of talent.
Following the ceremony, Wang Pingwei chaired a special discussion meeting with representatives from relevant departments at Group headquarters, as well as heads of subsidiaries and project teams across Africa. Participants held in-depth discussions on the Regional Operations Center’s strategic positioning, core functions, and implementation pathways.

Participants unanimously agreed that the establishment of the Center responds to the continued expansion of Sinomine Resource’s overseas business and the growing need for specialized support. It will help operating units across the region sharpen their focus on core businesses while strengthening the Group’s capabilities in resource integration, new project development, risk management and control, and comprehensive operational support in South-Central Africa.
Wang Pingwei stressed: “The establishment of the Regional Operations Center is a new beginning, not an end. What we have established is a platform, and what we are setting in motion is the future.”
Standing at a new historical starting point, the South-Central Africa Regional Operations Center will deepen its roots in Africa and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Sinomine Resource’s global operations.
