Recently, Bikita Mineral Pvt Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Bikita Minerals”) officially obtained an export license for tantalum and niobium concentrates, following the approval of its export quota by the Zimbabwean government. The company has also successfully signed a domestic sales contract for tantalum and niobium products in Zimbabwe. These developments mark the official establishment of dual sales channels for Bikita Minerals’ tantalum and niobium products, encompassing both international exports and domestic sales in Zimbabwe, creating favorable conditions for unlocking the value of associated mineral resources and expanding market access.

In addition to its abundant lithium resources, the Bikita mining area contains valuable associated metals, including cesium, tantalum, and niobium. In recent years, while continuously improving the development and utilization of its lithium resources, Bikita Minerals has actively advanced the comprehensive recovery and efficient utilization of associated minerals, further unlocking the overall value of its mineral resources.
To facilitate the production, approval, and market sales of tantalum and niobium products, Bikita Minerals has continued to strengthen communication and coordination with Zimbabwe’s mining authorities and relevant institutions. The company has actively pursued the necessary export quota approvals, export licenses, and export procedures, creating favorable conditions for the commercialization of these products.
At the same time, Bikita Minerals has proactively expanded into the Zimbabwean domestic market by engaging with local customers and exploring market opportunities. The recent signing of a domestic sales contract for tantalum and niobium products marks the successful commencement of commercial sales within Zimbabwe. Bikita Minerals has therefore established a parallel sales model combining exports to international markets and domestic sales in Zimbabwe, further enhancing its market allocation capabilities and operational flexibility.
Tantalum and niobium are valuable metals widely used in electronics, aerospace, high-temperature alloys, and advanced manufacturing. The simultaneous establishment of export and domestic sales channels for Bikita Minerals’ tantalum and niobium products represents an important achievement in the Group’s efforts to comprehensively utilize associated mineral resources and improve resource efficiency. It also marks a positive step in the mine’s transition from developing a single product to the coordinated development of multiple minerals and product categories.
Looking ahead, Bikita Minerals will continue leveraging its resource advantages to improve the comprehensive recovery of associated minerals such as tantalum and niobium, enhance product quality, and expand its domestic and international sales channels. The company will work to translate its resource advantages into tangible business returns while exploring opportunities to develop and utilize other valuable associated minerals. These efforts will further improve overall resource utilization and value creation, cultivating new growth drivers for the high-quality development of the Group’s overseas mining business.
