Recently, Sinomine Overseas Geotech Services (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomine Tianjin Overseas”) successfully completed the shipment of key equipment for the Kitumba project, including ball mills, flotation machines, and crushers. The timely delivery provides critical support for the steady advancement of processing plant construction and lays a solid foundation for the Kitumba Mine to commence production as scheduled.

The shipment faced multiple challenges. After dismantling, the ball mill equipment alone consisted of 390 individual pieces with varying packaging specifications, requiring transportation by break-bulk vessel. In addition, the large number of cargo items and the complexity of cargo hold coordination led several shipping companies to decline the shipment, significantly increasing the difficulty of the logistics operation.

In response to these challenges, Sinomine Tianjin Overseas attached great importance to the task and formed a dedicated project team to coordinate and manage the entire process. Through active engagement with multiple shipping lines and freight forwarders, as well as several rounds of negotiations and logistics plan optimization, the team successfully secured suitable vessel space that met all transportation requirements.

Meanwhile, dedicated personnel were dispatched to supplier manufacturing facilities to conduct on-site inspections, strictly verify packaging compliance, and urge suppliers to accelerate delivery schedules, ensuring that all equipment arrived at the port on time.
After days of intensive coordination and execution, the project team resolved all outstanding issues one by one. On January 19, 2026, the equipment successfully cleared customs and departed on schedule. The successful completion of this shipment fully demonstrates Sinomine Tianjin Overseas’ strong capabilities in resource coordination and execution under complex logistics conditions, and provides robust support for the Katumba processing plant to progress according to plan.

Looking ahead, construction of the Kitumba project will continue as scheduled. Sinomine Tianjin Overseas will further leverage its professional expertise to support the Group’s global strategic layout and contribute solid strength to the high-quality delivery of overseas mining projects.
