From November 27 to 28 (local time), Sinomine Kitumba Minerals Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sinomine Kitumba") jointly organized a large-scale free medical camp with  the 26th Chinese Military Medical Team at the Kitumba mining area, providing free medical services to nearly 400 local community residents. This event not only vividly embodies the profound friendship between China and Zambia but also demonstrates Sinomine's social responsibility as a responsible international enterprise.

At the launching ceremony, Dr. Elijah Mutoloki, Representative of the Permanent Secretary of the Central Province and Central Province Health Director, praised the free medical camp as "a testament to the outstanding achievements achievable when multiple parties join hands for the common well-being of the people." Charlie Masumo, Representative of the Governor of the Southern Province and Chairman of the Mumbwa District Council, emphasized that this initiative "highlights the strong bilateral relations between Zambia and China in health and other fields" and called on other investors to follow Kitumba's example. Harrison Chitempulo, Representative of the Chief of Kayindu, also expressed sincere gratitude to Kitumba for its numerous contributions to the well-being of the people.

To better benefit the public, the event set up two medical service venues: one at the mine camp and another at the  community market. This arrangement has effectively facilitated convenient access for employees and residents from different areas. The medical team, composed of 19 Chinese medical experts, brought not only sophisticated medical skills but also a spirit of selfless dedication. On-site, 15 departments were established, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation, along with multiple examinations such as electrocardiograms (ECG), blood routine tests, and color Doppler ultrasound. The on-site process was scientific and smooth, with nearly 400 people receiving medical consultations and treatments in an orderly manner under the guidance of volunteers.

Local community residents responded enthusiastically. After receiving free routine physical examinations and professional consultations, many people expressed excitement, stating that in rural areas with relatively scarce medical facilities, being able to access such high-quality free medical services on their doorstep made them feel tangible care.

This free medical camp is not only an urgent act of kindness but also the beginning of Kitumba's long-term commitment to rooting itself in the community. Mwiinga Chifwepa, Deputy Mine Manager of Kitumba, solemnly announced at the ceremony: "Kitumba plans to make the free medical camp an annual event!" This commitment, together with a series of previous initiatives by the company—such as repairing "roads of people's hearts" and building community markets—has gradually established Kitumba's image as a "responsible good neighbor" and deeply rooted the concept of "shared development" in the land of Zambia.
